Home Behavior Support Plans - ADD, ASD
Every child and family is unique. We offer personalized plans to support children and caregivers-meeting your child and family where you are.
In our practice, many early learners who are "delayed" fit a general profile of needs. These include needing additional help with language acquisition, social and play skills, self help skills, and establishing joint attention. Many of our children struggle with tolerating "no", transitioning, rigid behavior or meltdowns. Through years of experience using applied behavior analysis and play based developmental behavior interventions, we will work with your child and help train caregivers on best practice to promote these critical skills at home and in the community.
How it works:
Our process generally starts with an in home interview and observation, getting to know you and your child and listening to your concerns and goals. During this meeting we will conduct an informal assessment of your child's needs. Whenever possible, we involve other therapy providers, teachers and related team members in this process. We will coordinate care and review relevant documentation to better support your goals. Next we will create a treatment plan for your family to include child and parent training goals. We will model each skill and target area, training caregivers each step of the way. 1:1 tutoring/therapy sessions and formal assessments / in depth reports are also available.
How often do we get help?
Some families may benefit from 2-5 visits and coaching sessions, while others may require long term support. We will work with you to best serve your family's needs and budget. ABA is available to every child with an autism diagnosis through TEFRA medicaid. Families who receive the ASD diagnosis and are eligible are encouraged to pursue such services. Other families and children may need just a "jump start" or "a little extra." Some families may be dissatisfied with their current options in ABA. We are a private pay, personalized service and do not accept insurance.
